It is too loud. Seriously loud. Creaming butter and sugar, at least 1/4 inch remains untouched on the sides of the bowl. It’s easy to use, and I like the blueberry color. I’ve already thrown the box away or I would return it. I’m not a heavy-duty baker, so I won’t use it often, but there’s no pleasure in using it. If you buy it, don’t throw away the box until you have whipped 3 cups of heavy cream. Your ears will hurt.

    I was looking for a stand mixer in December of 2022 read the reviews about it what I like is how easy it is to use it comes with 3 mixing attachments cover to pour in your flour eggs or what you need to mix plus the cover keeps everything in there the speed control is on the same side as the control to lift the mixer up which is nice the kitchen aid speed is on the other side to me is not good if loose clothes get caught on this mixer the eg is been really good to use I make cookies breads dough in it so far a very strong mixer for mixing the licking bowel is very easy to use the lift attachment is very way to use clean up is very easy which I hand wash dry when done on the whole mixer easy to attach the mixing attachments like the color of it for men who bake cookies cakes pie crust doughs this one is very good just tired of using a hand mixer

    I've had this stand mixer for over a year now, and it still functions as new. Bought this around a time where it appeared to be half the cost of the larger name brand ones on the market, but have to say it's working just as good if not better than the standard Kitchenaid mixers I've used in the past. I think the kicker for me was, the compatability with other products - able to use attachments from other brands as well.

    I wanted to get a new stand mixer but didn’t want to pay $3-400 for a new Kitchen-Aid. I had 2 KA mixers in the past and they both tended to leak oil out of their housings, even though I loved the performance. I was happy to find this GE which was a great price, has everything that my previous KA had, but is built a little heavier and has the dial power selector, rather than the slide switch (which leaked with the KA brand). Very very happy with the color and performance of this machine!

    It's got good weight to it and seems like it was built to last a long time. I was excited to use it the moment I got it. Unfortunately, there isn't anything good to say about it.

    - It is very loud, shrill even, when running. Turn it up to max speed and you'll go deaf. It's practically like a bolt in a garbage disposal

    - It has a super annoying 'safety feature' that shuts the device off after 10min of mixing. I'm sorry but this is just a terrible design...Protect the motor? Maybe sure, but let me be the judge. I hope you don't need to ensure continuous beating of your egg whites or kneading of dough, because I guarantee that as soon as you walk away it will shut off!

    - Speaking of egg whites, do you like stiff peaks? Me too! You won't get em with this! You can't adjust the tilt stand height above the bowl. If you adjust the tilt screw under the head clockwise like on a KitchenAid, it lowers the mixer head, but since its got this spring loaded design, it pops opens the moment you unlock the head, actually keeping itself under tension, raising the attachments back up. Turn it counter-clockwise and it will make the stand head more stable, since its actually raising the head and forcing its own tension on the spring, but all this does is lock the unit into the highest possible position. All that to say that it will NEVER pass a dime test unless you put a phone book on top of it to hold it down while it's mixing. I'm definitely not going to stand in front of it holding it-- that is the reason I bought a stand mixer in the first place...! C'mon, really?

    I was unsure about purchasing a GE mixer from the very beginning, but I took a risk. Turns out I should have trusted my gut and spent the extra money on a more reputable product.

    Hard pass. Don't buy. Don't waste your time. Don't be disappointed like me.

    After reading countless reviews for stand mixers, I chose the GE in Saphire Blue. It's not too heavy and can be carried from the storage closet to the counter easily. The color is very pretty and a nice change from the usual white; the bowl is a nice large size and the beaters are easy to attach and detach. It's powerful enough for my mixing needs so far (haven't tried the dough hook yet). It seems as though all the reviews compare stand mixers to the Kitchen Aid. That was way out of my budget and this one is, in my opinion, great value for the money. I'm very happy with this mixer!
